It's not more than 2 minutes after the end of the Golden Globe Awards, and I am incredibly happy to see Brokeback Mountain take home the Best Drama Movie, Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Original Song awards. As a filmmaker also working hard to dispel flamboyant stereotypes, I've been watching this film's progress for months, and have seen the movie twice now.This really is an incredibly historic moment in film history. It will be very hard for filmmakers in the mass industry to return to the same ole perceptions because of this movie's success, and message. I hope you have had the chance to see it. Now, cross your fingers for an Oscar win.
